SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP JOBS: An Oxymoron

by admin on July 8, 2010

The idea of an entrepreneurship job is actually an oxymoron.  Social or not, there really is no “job” for an “entrepreneur”.  An entrepreneur may hire an employee, but you can’t be both at the same time.  What an entrepreneur really wants is a great opportunity!  And here at SocialEntrepreneurshipIdeas.com, that’s what our focus is on; not employees, but on helping entrepreneurs find that perfect opportunity.  That being said, due to the interest some have in working for a Social Entrepreneur, we do make it a habit when conducting interviews with philanthropists to ask about current job openings.  So if this is your interest, keep checking this blog.  We just might have something for you.

WHO WANTS A JOB ANYWAY?!

But while we are on the subject, I have to ask  – WHY?  Why would you prefer a job over a business?

  • Security?  Have you ever been laid off or fired?  That won’t happen if you’re the boss!
  • Don’t want the responsibility?  You already have that; that’s the price of freedom.  The only question is what are you going to do with it?
  • Don’t know how?  That’s what this site is for!  Just go to the “How to Start” page, and START!
  •

With a business, you will have:

    • more security
    • more freedom
    • more control
    • more money to give away!

So forget the job.  Get started on your perfect social business by going to the How to Start page and following the easy steps.  You can thank me latter!
